JURY 3D 2024

Last week the “3D Jury 2024” took place, an event during which we were able to unveil the new films of graduates of the 3D animation and visual effects cinema training at ESMA Montreal, on which they have worked for more than 6 months. It was also an opportunity to celebrate the end of their program with the presentation of their diplomas!

The creation of the shorts

To make these five films, the students, supervised by teachers, had to go through different stages:

  • The creation of a scenario in Martin Cright’s course, then the selection of five final scenarios, those of Johanna Guinodeau, Juan Nicolas Dominguez, Elliot Meyer Derique, Nadine Karkour and Antoine Demange
  • Pre-production, in Christine Thibodeau’s class, with the creation of storyboards, settings and characters
  • Production and post-production, with teachers Thomas Rousvoal, Serge Kponsou, Vincent Philippon, David Décoste, Anthony Cabula, Nicola Sterpone and Adrien Elmlih
  • The partnership with the Musitechnic school, whose students produced the mixing, music and sound design of the films, supervised by their teachers Rémy Viala, Amanda Mckay and Iohann Miller!
  • Creating film posters with graphic design students from Salette College
