The festival will take place from 8 to 13 October 2017.

The Sharjah International Children's Film Festival (SICFF) was launched in 2013. It is the first children's film festival in the country and the region, and is a project of FUNN, an organization created by the Sharjah's government.
 

Objectives of this festival

•      Educating children and youth at cinema in the United Arab Emirates
•      Exposing them to international cultures and traditions around the world through cinema
•      Train children and young people to become future filmmakers by introducing them to creative and inspiring filmmakers.
•      Encourage local filmmakers to motivate them to produce children's films
