2023 IFA project: the lair of a famous character!

The project

Once again, the two groups of students in the 3rd session of the 3D animation and visual effects training were able to carry out the Fixed Image and Autonomy (IFA) project, on which they have been working since their 2nd session !

Each student had to choose a famous character (real or fictional) and recreate their lair.

The preproduction

The preparation of the pre-production file, carried out in the 2nd session, is the first stage of the project.

To create this file, each student worked on the analysis and intention of their project, then on the research and composition for their image by making a first drawing of their lair. The students were then able to create their lightboards (light, color, atmosphere) and lookboards (objects present in the scene and their references).

The modeling

For the second stage, started in the 3rd session, the students had to model each element of their lair as planned in the pre-production file. The two groups then worked on the texture, the lighting, the complete modeling of objects, etc.

The final project

To finalize the project, each student was able to present their final image in front of their class and the teachers, explaining their choices, their difficulties or even what they preferred to do in the project.
