Conference and premises visit of Mikros Animation Studio !

STUDIO VISIT

This month, our 3D animation and visual effects students had the chance to discover Mikros Animation Studio in Montreal!

The graduates of the program were invited to the premises of the animation studio and were able to discover its operation as well as the various projects in progress thanks to a visit and a presentation by Nicolas Delval, Director of the studio, Samuelle Courtemanche, Community Coordinator as well as Patrick Gomes and Sabrina Pacifico, both talent acquisition managers.

The group also met with Emma Debard, a 2021 graduate of ESMA Montreal who directed the film “Nootka“, who has been working for one year at Mikros as a Compositing Artist!

Emma was thus able to talk about her career after school, her hiring at Mikros and the various projects on which she worked on. This was the chance for the students to ask Emma all their questions and receive valuable advice from her as soon to be graduates !

CONFERENCE in our premises

Some time after this first visit, we had the pleasure of welcoming Milica Vesic, Crew Manager as well as Suchita Suryamurty and Sabrina Pacifico, from the talent acquisition team of Mikros Animation, this time in our own premises, for a conference open to all ESMA Montreal students!

During this conference, Milica was able to present the history of the studio, its projects, its premises, its operation and its values as well as the demoreel of the studio and the superb trailer of the next “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem“!

Sabrina and Suchita then explained to the students how the recruitment process works, also giving them valuable advice on how to make their demoreel according to their specialties!

Q&A Time

At the end of this presentation, the students were able to discuss with the presenters and ask them all their questions thus leading to a very interesting and relevant exchange.
